Le Mas
Between the regions of the Provence and the Cévennes, in the south of the Ardèche, near by the Bois de Païolive, approximately 3 km away from Les Vans and approximately 25 minutes by car away from the Gorges de l’Ardèche, you will refuel your energy in the Mas de la Garrigue a limestone building.
In the former silkworm breeding farm, the Mas is within a nearly 8000 sqm big garden, where you can relax in the shadow of the mulberry trees, holm oaks or olive trees with the flavours of the garrigue and the Southern Ardèche: rosemary, thyme, wild mint, honeysuckle by not forgetting the sound of the cicadas.
A swimming pool (8 x 4 meters) is waiting for your refreshment.
The Apartment and the B&B rooms
We offer 1 Gîte with approximately 50 sqm as well as 5 nice, charming and differently decorated Chambres d’hôtes.
It goes without saying that all rooms and the Gîte have their own private bathroom and toilet.
All rooms and the Gîte are for non-smokers. Animals are not accepted.
The house has a central heating. There is another room reserved for guests with TV; you have also internet access (Wifi).
The appartment and the guest rooms have no A/C. However the appartment stays pleasantly cool and the guest rooms are fournished with fans.
On arrival date, the rooms and the Apartment are available after 4:00pm.
On your departure day we kindly ask you to leave the rooms and the apartment not later than 10:00am.
The table d’hôtes
Some evenings, Marina prepares, for at least 4 guests and upon reservation, an original and gluttony dinner.
A summer kitchen is at your disposal for the preparation of small meals apart from the evenings when we offer our table d’hôtes.
In the surroundings
The Mas de la Garrigue is extraordinary well situated for your hobbies and sporting activities.
Nearby, you can do fishing, playing tennis, swimming, horse riding, climbing, canoeing, visiting caves, visiting canyons and paragliding. Directly in front of the Mas you can start with mountain biking and walking.
In the surrounding countryside of Vans, nature is due to its contrasts between garrigue and forests, lowlands and embedded canyons, chestnuts and olive trees, limestone and granite a mosaic of the natural environment…
Discover the regional products, local handicraft, the jollifications, make walks or take a canoe on the Chassezac – all cultural events are at your disposal.
